April & May Events

We’ve got some updates and announcements for you for April & May events! These event dates are: April 12-14 & May 24-26.
APRIL EVENT: FREE COMMUNITY EVENT
MAY EVENT: A HORROR ONE-SHOT: THE FIRST EXPEDITION’S LANDING ON THE SHORE OF THE ETERNAL LANDS
Our prime directive is to ensure we have an excellent foundation to run Legends on. 5 months might seem like a lot of time to finish the development for Legends. Still, we want to make sure we are set up for success with maximum efficiency rather than adding more work to our own plates! March was still a lot to organize, and we need that bandwidth to prepare for the May one-shot and launch Legends in September.
APRIL EVENT: COMMUNITY HANGOUT EVENT: So we will not be running logistics-heavy one-shots back to back! The April event will be another community hangout, but this time it’s FREE. The trade-off is that this is purely a community hangout event, with very little plot-provided content. If you want to stay overnight in the cabins for the weekend, it will only be $20 (and we have scholarships available)! If you want to organize your own activities in April, we’ll be providing a signup sheet with the “tickets” release.
NOTES ON TICKETS FOR APRIL: You still have to “get” a ticket on the website so we have a roster, even if it’s a free ticket! Tickets for April will “go on sale” on Thursday 3/21 at 8pm ET. We're intentionally running this event at a loss of profit because none of us have houses big enough to host a backyard community event; and we really miss those and know how important it is for us as a community to see each other while we wait for Legends to launch.
MAY EVENT: A HORROR ONE-SHOT: However, we will be running a one-shot event in May. This one-shot event will be limited in size (to be manageable for us). Like Lion’s Den, this will be an experimental one-shot that is extremely rules-light. The event's premise is the first expedition landing on the shores of the Eternal Lands… but it will be horror-oriented since everyone will die by the end! We’ll announce more information in the coming weeks (after the April event). All characters will be from a specific culture that we will release early for you to sink your teeth into for the one-shot!
