__𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐂𝐄𝐒 & 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐓__

The Merchant Tent will be open for business again! Visit Dovana the Dwarf, Bippi & Sir Bork for all your crafting needs, as indicated on the schedule. Find them at the tent at the Crossroads, or Hightown Tavern in the case of rain.

**Remember that all in-game wooden tags (resources, items, etc) are being replaced with paper ones for the remainder of the season. ALL WOODEN FLOWER TAGS ARE EXPIRED and may be thrown away. All other wooden tags (such as Mining, Potion, and Enchanting/Blacksmith Item tags) are still valid, but are being replaced with paper.

__**𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐃 "I WOUND THEE" 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄**__

The “Die I Slay Thee” mechanic is now retired. To use this mechanic, you must be within arm's length of the target to point, and say tagline “I Wound Thee!”. The target must RP pain at being hit, which costs them one of their HP. There is a one minute cool down period before the target can be hit again. The cool down period is only for the specific target, so a different target can be hit with this mechanic without pause.

If you are an orange-headbanded player, you automatically start with 2 HP & have a free Character Point respend available with this change. Please update your character sheet accordingly, and bring an extra copy of the new version with you to check-in.

__𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐂𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐓__

Much of this event is going to be emergent play. There is so much happening at every moment: you will not be able to do it all. If you ever find yourself not knowing what to do or what’s going on, come to plot and we will point you in a direction!

Orange Wards were introduced earlier this year and are special wards that signify certain out-of-game importance. Out of character, a ward circle of Orange Lights indicates the scene happening inside should NOT be physically interacted with in any way. In-character, a ward circle of Orange Lights indicates a magical barrier, unique from a normal ward. NOTHING can pass through it, including physical objects like weapons, spell packets, arrows, limbs etc. and it cannot be dispelled by a Ritualist until indicated off-game by a Staff member. The use of Orange Wards in-game is very limited and usually reserved for Permanent Death Scenes or unique story or SFX-safety reasons.

“Super Cyanide” is being introduced at this event. From this event forward, you cannot look at the bottom of any drinking receptacle - unless you taste vinegar. If you taste vinegar, look at the bottom of your cup for a sticker that says “SC.” If the sticker is present, it is a stronger form of Cyanide - you have been SUPER CYANIDED. You may not be healed or brought back in any way if you die from this: report to plot after you die (taste vinegar and have the “SC” sticker on the bottom) and we will instruct you further. If there is no “SC” sticker on the bottom of your cup, it is regular Cyanide.

There may be Special Monsters/Creatures that require specific mechanics or story effects to be used in order to defeat them. Keep this in mind when engaging: there may be enemies you cannot defeat until you learn how and prepare.

__𝐏𝐔𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐂 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐋𝐄 / 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐋𝐄__

The Public Schedule is what's going on in game, in-game. The link to the public schedule is below! The Spoiler Schedule is an OUT OF GAME document with some additional items, for player knowledge, which will be posted on paper at the event. The spoiler schedule (and public!) will be posted on the Bulletin Boards in the taverns. This schedule is subject to change, check at the event for the final version along with the Spoiler Schedule. October 2023 Public Schedule

__𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓-𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐔𝐏__

On Sunday morning it is our responsibility to make sure we leave the site as clean as we found it. All players are required to clean their own cabins, kitchen messes & dishes. In cabins: trash bins must be emptied in the large bins behind the taverns, all windows must be CLOSED and floors swept. You can earn Feather Points by helping to clean communal spaces like the bathrooms and taverns! Find the Clean Up Coordinator (Shy Dotson) to see how you can help, and so she can check off that your cabin is clean.

Below is our prelude for the event!

"THE BURDEN OF CHOICE" - GAME PRELUDE

It is the 10𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 of the 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 After Fire

Beneath the vast tapestry of the heavens there is a foreboding transformation unfolding. Night after night, the stars - those timeless beacons of the unknown - dim and fade into the infinite abyss. A hushed realization has now gripped every mortal that sees this growing expanse of celestial emptiness. As the universe itself seems to mourn the gradual vanishing of its ancient legacy: it cannot be missed - the stars are disappearing.

The stars above are shrouded by an impending storm, and the rays of visible stars struggle to penetrate the darkness. Yet, undaunted, mortals below continue their lives - struggling against all odds to find hope in an uncertain world. But recently, several major events have taken place that promised change for the better.

It was just shortly ago, in the Ninth month, when New Haven negotiated a deal with the Blood Fae to lift the dark magic curse that bound the Grehlok. The agreement required two Grehlok to give their lives in exchange for the Cure. Before departing, the Blood Fae let out her final laugh; she chose banishment rather than be consumed like she said this world would be.

One of the Blood Fae's devoted allies, the Archon of Evolution, was captured during a shared mission between New Haven and the Fallen Sword in Sentinel’s Reach during the seventh month of 7AF. He has been detained by Fallen Sword for several months now, and a vote was held last month to decide his ultimate fate. The Fallen Sword will deliver their verdict tonight in New Haven.

The Elendari High Commander of the Eastern Front is set to personally give a report on the progress of the war tomorrow in New Haven. A month ago, a Wartable mission was launched to strike back aggressively at the Drow, regardless of the outcome of the Grehlok Cure. Brave denizens from New Haven were at the forefront of this mission, risking their lives in battle at the edges of an outpost used by exiled forces. This gave the Elendari and Fallen Sword a path into Drow territory, resulting in a major success when they took out The Archon of Inquiry who was leading that outpost. The Archon of Inquiry is dead.

New Haven celebrates another victory with the death of Balthazar’s wife Hapsheput, who had been in control of his territory since he was killed last year. Her assassination has created a power vacuum that many are trying to fill, with rumors circulating that individuals from New Haven may be among them.

Amid all of this, there persists the discussion of the Seventh Eldest - who has multiple appellations in different tongues: Jrex, Greks, The Nothing, The Everything, the Endless Forest, the Infinite (like Their list of names). Just last month, a few individuals brought ancient bones to the long dead Priest of Jrex and performed a ritual to bring back his memories from thousands of years ago.

The Thinnest Veil is approaching, and with it, the ghosts of our pasts and the spirits that have touched our lives. But this year it's more than just the usual spirits that have been spotted more often. Unfamiliar purple-cloaked creatures have arisen, bringing chaos and violence as they appear. The motives and origins of these entities remain obscure, but one thing is certain: wherever they're going, destruction follows.

-

We cannot run away from destiny, no more than we can avoid looking to the night skies with their waning stars. We face the threads of fate, just like we face those same heavens that have observed every mortal since time immemorial.

A Poem & Prophecy by New Havener Morgan Blood

To the you who stands with me now

Standing here

For a reason

Just as I stand here for mine

Sunset is upon us

And sunsets always herald

This moment has purpose

As do all that follow it

And knowing what has come

Shall guide you in what will
